About

Hi, I’m Charlotte and here is a small insight into my creative mind:
All my life I have been really into anything creative. From a young age fashion has been something I am obsessed with and now I’m older something I would love to pursue a career in. My own individualistic fashion style first started to evolve when I watched Leah McFall on the Voice UK. It is really random however I was so young and her style was so out there and weird, but I loved it. That then inspired me to wear things most people would say is ugly however I would find a way to make it look good. Although fashion is an opinion I believe that anything can look good as long as it’s styled correctly.

Art and photography have also been two hobbies that I have developed a greater interest for since taking my GCSE’s and A Levels. Fine art of nature or anything delicate has always intrigued me and picked my liking. Digital art is a media I have only recently explored however I grew an interest for it through my fashion style. I really think psychedelic art is so groovy and really clever; the colour palettes used are amazing. In addition I admire the work of tattoo and henna artists so much, I really appreciate line work and detail that goes into the art they produce on skin. Line work is something I have heavily explored throughout art, studying henna and using my skills to do hair with a fine liner. I often find myself looking at the tattoo artist Ryan Ashley’s work. She works in black and white, and her signature style developed from her training and experience as a fashion designer, using lace detail and bead work to refine her pieces and make them original. Although her style isn’t similar to mine I find that her pieces evoke a lot of ideas for my own art.
