For our genre we chose Punk.                                                                                       Punk is a fast moving, loud and aggressive form of rock music. It was popular in the late 1970’s and has shaped bands today such as Green Day and The Sex Pistols. The General attire of punk connotes  a sort of violence and arrogance to anyone not evolved. They wear dark black clothes, black eye liner, big out of the ordinary piercings, jewelry with spikes on it, crazy mo hawk haircuts and a lot of leather.  The general ‘not caring what others think’ attitude connotes that the consumers of Punk is dedicated to teenagers that are rebelling from their parents by going out and partying instead of doing what they want them to do.

The denotations and connotations of the outfits and attire of punk has to fit the genre and narrative to be adequate for the target audience otherwise, they will not be as captivated or understand the meaning and connotations of the genre

I now know that in future I will need a verity of Mise-en-scene to help tell a story and convey a narrative
