Here are some adverts I was thinking could go in my magazine:

These adverts are both appropriate for my magazine because both of these artists are pop artists and my genre for my magazine is pop.  Both of these artists are very well known around the whole world with both of them having sold millions of records.  The first advert also links with my magazine because the crisps are called ‘popchips’ and the genre is pop.  The second advert also links with my magazine because it is a tour poster, and the artist sings pop songs.  I also got my ideas for the adverts from my dating profile for someone who would listen to pop music-these ideas are for people who ‘enjoy a good night out’.  These adverts will also work for my demographic because the colours used are bright and eye-catching and that is what pp music is all about.

In this audio I have asked a peer some questions about my contents page, these are the questions that I asked:

• How does the contents page work in tandem with the front cover?
• Is the font/typeface consistent with the front cover?
• What genre of music is the contents page featuring?
• Describe the images of the stars using adjectives.
• Which cover-lines tempt the audience to read on and which ones stand out and why?
• How do the cover-lines reflect a music magazine? If they don’t,  which ones need to be adapted?
• What aspects do you consider conventional or unconventional (page numbers, inserts, captions, catchy cover lines, editors comment?

In my opinion, after listening to my peers feedback, I think I could make the Masthead stand out a little more.

A contents page is one of many very important aspects of the magazine which informs the reader where to look for each section.  It is crucial that the page is eye-catching but not over creative as its main purpose is to let the reader easily  locate what they are interested in reading about.  The reader just wants to find the page that they are looking for so they do not want to be distracted by other aspects on the page.

I have improved my DPS and this is my new DPS, I have:

• created a boarder around the main image
• included an insert
• changed the font of the text
• Added a catchy caption

I have made the changes because the DPS now looks more like a professional magazine would.

I need to:

• Byline
• The photographer
• Sort line spacing

Above are all the photos that I took when I was at Castle Cornet, in my opinion I have met my aims stated because these photos look more professional and crisp than my last shoot.  These three are the three most likely to make it into my magazine:

We went to Castle Cornet for this shoot, the photos I have chosen to be used are the photos that I like the most- I like these photos because they best suit the genre of Pop.

This is my first draft article:

The life of Fabrice Huchard…  Fabrice grew up in a loving family home, singing in his local pub until he heard his song being played on the radio: from then on his life hasn’t been the same.  ‘I lived on an amazing island where everyone knew everyone’. Fabrice explained how this made him feel like it helped him become the star he is today because everyone he knew was listening to his music and giving him compliments.  Fabrice loved to do ordinary daily activities with his friends, including playing basketball and football. Fabrice added a little hint of a secret lover when we discussed his ordinary life with him: ‘Leo and I play football almost everyday and my girlfriend comes to watch me play my matches’.  Huchard also loves to go out with friends and enjoy the nightlife where he became great friends with another newly loved star Lewis Capaldi. Capaldi said: ‘I love his songs and he is such a humble young man’. Fabrice explained how ‘it was one of the greatest nights of his life’. After discussing his social life we discussed his future career plans, and we loved them…   Hurchard is going on tour all around the US next in June 2020 and in 2021 he is doing a European tour where the dates are to be later released. ‘I would love for my music to be enjoyed and heard all around the world’. There has been rumours that for the US tour he is going to sing a song an unreleased song that is very important and close to his heart. His lyrics can be loved and listened to by a rage of people due to the ‘meaning’ and ‘catchyness’.  ‘Without my family I would not be where I am today, they mean so much to me’. By listening to songs of Fabrice’s you can instantly tell how he faces life and will never shy away from a challenge. ‘ We will overcome’, this lyric from one of his songs could suggest how he faces everything with a positive attitude. Finally, we asked Huchard how he is dealing with all the fame, his reply showed us who he truly is: ‘I’m grateful for everything that has happened to me and so thankful for everyone who believed in me, as of yet I am still living on the island I grew up just so I can give back to my community and help in any way needed’.  This heartwarming quote leaves us knowing who the real Fabrice Huchard is.

I have made improvements to my article:

• Added more to make the reader want to read more.

Impact:

• The changes will have a positive impact because the article now works well with picture on the DPS.
• I hope the changes will bring in a wider range of audiences because the article is now about teenage girls.

The life of Seanna Hainsworth…  All is not what it seems… I sat down with Seanna at her local pub, where it all began and she explained how she grew up in a loving family home, singing in her local pub until she heard her song being played on the radio.  She had been discovered at her local pub by a producer, but not just any old producer, Beyonce’s producer: the famous Joe- from then on her life hasn’t been the same. ‘I lived on an amazing island (Guernsey) where everyone knew everyone’.  It’s clear that Seanna felt this helped her become the star she is today because everyone she knew was listening to her music and giving her compliments, ‘it was great,I was being congratulated everywhere I went, , even my gran was telling her friends at the Women’s Institute meeting!’.

As a teenager she loved to do ordinary daily activities with his friends, including going to her dance classes. As with all young people, she had the obligatory ‘bestie’, : ‘Amber was and always will be my best friend.  Amber and I went to dancing almost everyday and my boyfriend, Brad, comes and watches our performances’. Seanna also loves to go out with friends and enjoy the nightlife where she became great friends with another new mega  star Lewis Capaldi. Capaldi said: ‘I love her songs and she is such a humble young lady’. Seanna explained how meeting Lewis Capaldi ‘was one of the greatest nights of her life’ and he has now become a firm friend.

And what about  her future career plans? She is going on tour all around the US in June 2020 and in 2021 she is doing a European tour where the dates are to be later released.  ‘I would love for my music to be enjoyed and heard all around the world’.
