These past few lessons have taught me the immense power of the framing, angles and the lighting of an image. Whether it’s a canted angle affirming an ominous undertone, a high angle rendering a character defenseless, or a prop (any mise-en-scene) confirming a person’s status- it’s all so meaningful; I recognize this now.
Approaching my own designs I will have to be certain that I am conveying the appropriate messages with my photography. Remembering to bring in facial expression, proxemics, body language and gesture to add to my narrative. Now I will use the knowledge I’ve gained to produce a music magazine with articulate imagery.
