Music Video Conventions

In order to gain a sense of what makes a music video and what the basic form is I watched 6 different and diverse music videos and analysed their content from duration and the different themes and subject matters expressed, either through more direct techniques which are illustrative of the lyrics or require more thought in order to make a connection by the audience. Sometimes the video is even completely irrelevant to the song content.

This has allowed me to see that there is a significant range of opportunities to create an effective music video as I look to create one in the future. You can view my conventions by clicking on the image below.
