In this task I had to analyse a music video from one of the former students and choose the one that I thought was the best. This music video was the one that stuck out to the rest in my eyes, this was from the settings to the different styles and editing techniques also.

First of all I think they have done really well with mis en scene they have picked some really interesting backgrounds which are also very different from each other and I felt it matched up with the story of the song. One of my favourite effects was the small cut shots where there was a split second gap between each frame. They also did a side by side shot where the split the screen so you can have the same person but two of them in the same shot. They have a wide range of shots such as close ups, long shots, mid shots, two shots and many others.

Some of the shots I thought that just had a plain background were a bit boring and dull and they looked like a last minute job so they might have to plan in advance for timing and different shots that are a bit more interesting.
