So How Did It Go?

I am very pleased with how far my magazine has progressed through Component 1 of the media Course. It has been very rewarding seeing the stages of my magazine and finally see my magazine put together in the final draft. The research I have done for my magazine From doing provided me with a better understanding of the demographics of my target audience. This became in use when creating Mise En Scene in order to portray the appropriate meaning for my genre. I learnt a handful of new skills including creative, transferable and technical skills. For example a creative skill I have learnt is how to convey Mise En Scene, a transferable skill I have become more efficient with is communication and a technical skill I have become more familiar with is embedding documents in to my blog. An area of improvement for the next component would be time management. I feel like i didn’t use the time I had wisely as I have had work to catch up on out of lesson time on top of additional media home work. This left my behind on the blog and created more stress.

Adverts help to complete a magazine. Taking in to consideration my audiences demographics I have chosen two adverts to be included in my magazine. The pop genre audience generally consists of females age 18-24. Their interests include bands and artists like Little Mix, Katy Perry and Rita Ora. I found this information quite generic as they are all well known artists in the top charts. My first advert is to do with make up, the mood of this advert is sassy, jolly and amusing. I feel like this advert fits in well with the consistency of my magazine. My second advert is a tour poster which is music related. Rita ora is a pop artist so I thought this fitted in nicely with my magazine. By having a well known artist featuring in my magazine will make my audience more interested resulting in them purchasing my magazine in order to find out the latest tour dates of their favourite artists. These are both appropriate adverts for my target audience. The colours of these adverts help link my magazine together.These adverts will help to engage my audience and attract them to my magazine.
