Holding a Steady Shot-

For holding a steady shot, I would give this video a lower level 4 as for the most part the shots were steady and clear. However, there were parts where the shot was quite shaky. For example, the panning shot at 0:43 is quite shaky rather than being one smooth movement.

Framing a Shot-

For framing a shot, I would give this video a high level 4. This is because the shots gave you a sense of location and emotion of the two actors. Some imaginative angles were used such as the extreme high angles used to film the sky to create the sense of location. I also like the variety of angles used during the performance aspect of the video.

Variety of Shot Distances-

Throughout the video, a variety of shots are used such as close ups, long shots and tracking shots. These shots are well filmed with my favourite being 1:31 the long shot as she runs towards and over the camera as it shows her determination. Therefore I would give this video a lower level 4 as it is visually interesting.

Appropriate to Task-

Watching this video, it have several conventions of the genre and also looks very professional in the way it was shot and edited. The actors were well directed and looked comfortable in what they were doing and the video clearly reflects genre and form. Therefore I would give this video a lower level 4.

Mise en Scene Selection-

For Mise-en-Scene selection, I would give this video a upper level 4. This is because the costumes, makeup and setting  accurately reflect the genre and communicate a message.

Editing for Meaning-

For Editing for Meaning, I would give this video a lower level 4. This is because there is a clear narrative where the two actors are trying to get to each other through the woods however the beginning is slightly confusing.

Shot Transitions-

For shot transitions, I would give this video a lower level 4. This is because the transitions between the performance elements are very well thought out and reflect the theme of separation.

Sound with Images-

For Sound with Images, I would give this video an upper level 4. This is due to the perfect synchronisation between the video and the song but also it is combined well with the narrative.
