Within this task I was given the opportunity to explore how digipacks are designed to work as part of a multimedia package and support the launch of new and upcoming albums. This task allowed me to focus on the genre conventions, whilst also understanding the formal and technical elements, such as barcode, copyright, etc that every album cover will need. I was able to understand what each part of the album cover represented and highlights whilst being able to acknowledge the star image.
Focusing forward this will help me when it comes to making are own album cover as I now recognise formal and technical conventions and what we need to make sure the audience can acknowledge the genre of Indie rock.
