My image that uses MISE-EN-SCENE for meaning

This is one of my studio shoot images to show how I used MISE-EN-SCENE to create meanings. The genre for my magazine is pop and I thought these ideas would work really well, the idea for this shoot was for it to be pastel colours as it is fashionable and trendy . So therefore, I did the models hair into a plait as plaits are very in fashion and look pretty. The makeup was subtle but also current, she had top eyeliner and rose gold eye shadows to make her eyes contrast with her outfit and stand out as a main feature as her eyes are also a very pretty colour. Makeup is very in fashion, it seems as though the more you have on the more current and up to date you are with all the so called ‘pop princesses’ such as Dua Lipa, Selena Gomez, Ariana Grande, Beyonce and many more icons.

Another thing which is really in fashion is, glitter and lights. These days when performers come on stage they have highlighter, glitter and sparkles everywhere, so for this shoot I got colours lights, as you can see in the image above I used red which really worked to catch the glitter I also placed in her hair lines.

Below you can see a few of the images on the mood board I have created to see all the styles I was trying to aim for in this pop genre shoot..
