I began my A-Level by exploring the works of Jenny Holzer. I made a screen print of my piece in the style of Holzer entitled ‘I will not be suppressed’ and printed these onto multiple T-Shirts using a variety of inks. This project allowed me to experiment with words and phrases and change the meaning and interpretation of text. I designed my piece to correlate with the feminist movement as it is something that I strongly identify with.
