Shoot (1) Evaluation – Narrative

On our narrative shoot, we were able to get many shots however a lot of them were quite similar in distance and angle so we needed more variety which we took into consideration for our next shoot. Plus, we realised that we had quite a few shots that included alcohol so we had to make a slight change to our narrative.

Here are some photos from our filming day:

Overall, I think that the shoot went quite well as in the end we came out with good shot angles and distances which we set out to achieve. Some of the good shots included close ups of Jacob in the car and an argument scene which we see through a mirror.

In our next shoot, we need to get the rest of the shots that we were unable to get in this shoot which are located at Bordeaux when the couple are happy together in their relationship and also when they meet at the end of the video. Other shots we need are trigger shots such as the polaroid and the phone as our narrative is set in the present day when the couple have broken up but we are cutting to clips of the couple when they are happy in their relationship and also the negative moments so we get can feel a connection with the characters.
