This was my first detailed look as to what the features of some really good music videos were, for this I mainly looked at what the themes were and how they used narrative and performances in order to create different feelings and how this corresponded to the genre.
From this I found that a majority of these seemed to stick to a lyric and correlate this into their videos but some, Lightning Bolt- Jake Bugg, Steered away from this and instead created what seemed to just be random shots of him walking, but this fitted in well with the sounds of his voice and song as the shots had an old looking colour correction to them, this shows how some indie bands may not always have to stick to the norm in order to create a suitable music video.
