Targets for improvement
- Change the inside panel, get rid of the image, add some graphics
- Move the back panel around, change the way the writing is formatted
- Change the look of the barbwire ring, be more creative with it
I feel like I have made some considerable progress with my digipak, I have attempted some of my targets from the last draft, I have added some graphic to the inside panels, I’m happy with how it’s progressing and I’m still looking to make a few changes to it before my final draft. One more thing I need to do for my next draft is to add a song list, come up with some song name ideas and add them to the back panel.
I think the shoot went to plan, I feel like I got the style of images that I wanted from the shoot and I believe they have potential. During the shoot, I tried to take inspiration from similar artists in their album covers. I tested out a few different poses and different outfits to figure out how I wanted it to look.
After this shoot I’m confident that I got some good photos but I’m still unsure how they’re going to turn out and if they will fit with the genre I’m going for, if needed I will book another shoot to ensure the quality is right for my final product.
This task required me to learn more about the conventions and the technical elements of a digipak, I now feel like I have more ideas for my digipak and how I want it to look. I have learnt more about my artists genre whilst researching, I had to look at multiple different album covers similar to my artist and it gave me more insight about the genre
This task has required me to analyse other artists, album covers, social media pages and lyrics to gain inspiration, these in particular are all similar to my artist, which is why this task was important to understand the genre and what the other products looks like and take inspiration for me to make a similar style product.
What’s the point of this?
