Shooting Day Evaluation

Intro: Our filming day on a hole was very successful. We managed to shoot all of our shots and we have a wide range of different shots such as close ups extreme long shots and mid shots. With most of our shots we filmed them twice but we did not have enough time to do this for every shot.

What went well:

  1. We completed all of our shots and did not miss any out.
  2. Our group worked effectively together we all took turns to film and we each inputted ideas.
  3. We have got lost establishing shots which we will be able to use for our titles we specifically looked for shots in which we though would be good to use.

What did’t go well:

  1. We did not have much time so we where very rushed.
  2. Some of our shots where not great quality and we did not notice this until we got back to school, some where blurred and others and a wonky horizon also the wind was blowing very hard so the tripod was wobbling a little.
  3. We lost the sun at the end of our shooting day and this was our only source of light so this made it hard with our last shots.

Targets for next time:

    1. I think we need to plan our time better as we almost did not get all of our last shots.
    2. I think it would have been a good idea to go on location first before we film so we didn’t have to look for spots to film or to film from.
    3. We need to watch our shots back after filming them to make sure they are right, this would have made us notice they where wrong so we could have re shot them.
    4. Finally we should have waited the tripod down so it was not shaking as much.
