Titles Design and Production

Intro: Once we had researched titles on existing films we then had to start looking to create our own. We looked for some different fonts that we liked and got it down to a short list of three. We then had to create the titles in the correct order to do this we used Adobe After Effects.

Ww decided as a group that we liked Medusa Gothic best. (This is the second image). We felt that this fitted best with the look of the film we where going for. This font has a modern look but still looks mysterious and spooky.

Adobe After Effects and Titles Design:

In this photo I am using the Rotobrush tool, this is used so we can make the character walk infant of the title. This is like sending it to the back, this makes the titles more involved in the scene.

This photo is showing keyframes, this is used for how long the title takes to animate in out or for how long the title is on screen for. This is important as the title needs to be on screen for long enough so the audience has time to read it. This tool allows us to change it and adapt it to the exact time we want.

This photo is showing the corner pin tool. This allows us to skew into the shot. This means it will look like it is laying flat on or against something. It allows us to push the title into the shot. It creates depth in the shot.

This photo is showing different animations. These are the animations that we can use to animate in and out our titles. This makes the titles run smoother so they do not just appear then disappear.
