The Dark Knight is special as The Joker in the film is presented as the ultimate and perfect antagonist for Batman, they are both fighting for the same thing but with different intentions. The Joker is Batman’s perfect villain as The Joker knows how to target Batman’s weaknesses. The closest thing to a superpower that Batman has is the ability to scare his opponents.

The Batman and The Joker are both fighting for control over Gotham City. The Joker wants to turn the city into a tourist filled island and have full of corruption and murder whilst Batman wants to keep Gotham the same but rid it of all crime. This shows their similarities but differences aswell meaning they are in conflict as they want the same thing but for different reasons. This nature of their conflict means that only one of them can win to have one thing.
