Music Video Final Draft

Music Video Final Draft

Below is our final draft of the music video.

In our production I decided to develop and challenge the typical conventions of the indie genre. We made sure we made the video had both narrative and performance so that it could fit the expectations of the audience as Altman suggests. We used a narrative showing two people not sure if they are in love or not but then in the end they are happy and figure out their dilemma. Our video is in chronological order and has no flashbacks. The artist doesn’t interact with the camera often and the fourth wall is also rarely broken but we decided to go against that typical convention when shooting our performance.

Our video was filmed using close ups so the footage is authentic and organic. This style of filming fitted with the generic natural and authentic conventions of the indie genre.
