My Tour Poster

From these images this is what I can see:

• Star is in the center

• Big title showing stars name

• Big date and place

• Fairly Bright

Untitled-1

I used the normal design conventions from a pop magazine from my mood board. My poster ended up very similar to the other pop posters with the color theme being quite mellow and my model being straight faced an relaxed. The poster is also very simplistic just like the other mainstream pop posters shown.

I made a poster using Photoshop for a tour poster for a pop star. I took a photo from our photo-shoot where I dressed up as a pop star and I used this to make a poster.

An Introduction To In design And My Magazine Front Page Swede

final

We practiced using indesign as a way to make our magazine covers. We got a NME magazine to copy and make look as similar as possible, this is as it makes us practice and get use to making a professional magazine whilst revising and learning the basic features needed to make one.

I like how my version of the poster follows the same placement of the original. It also does well with copying the masthead with the flipped date text next to it as well. The different colored underlines also looks very good. I had a couple issues with fonts and a few are slightly different. The picture of the original also wasn’t there so i was forced to use a different one. Also the bar code doesn’t look as polished as I would like

All this is great practice for making promotional media as it has helped my learn how to use indesign and format a magazine cover properly.

The Camera Talks

I took 50 images with a camera using different camera angles and ranges. I used a model to show off all of these and then write what’s in the images using hashtags. After I have put them into contact sheets using the bridge and picked my favorite 9 of which all show different placements and use of the camera. This will help me in the future as when I am taking pictures I will have more experience with the placement of the camera, the positioning of the model, and more confidence in my use of the camera. It has helped show me how to tell a story with the use of a camera and how it is used.

My Image That Uses Mise En Scene To Communicate Meaning

Made with Padlet

We were allocated it by picking from a hat and we got pop star. We made a mood board on the sort of clothing and what pop stars look like. We then wrote and described about what each photo meant to the genre as shown above. they must look quite nice and innocent and friendly.

Here are all of the pictures that we took of me as a pop star. I dressed up with the clothes that after are research we decide would fit the role of pop star. Personally I think they came out good and all of them come out as I wanted. They all show me as the nice, friendly and confident pop star and it makes me look like the boy next door. this is the exactly friendly look I was looking for and It turned out great.

This image is my favorite and seems to be the image that I will use as my cover. It shows me as a laid back confident guy and this is what I’m looking for. It follows the theme I’m looking for with the image and fits perfectly as an image for a pop star. It shows that I am laid back and relaxed. In conclusion, I think this would be perfect for use. I have the image rotated to the side as I prefer this rotation as I believe it looks better. Whilst taking these pictures I used C.L.A.M.P.S. I used the costume of a pop star, the lighting being bright as outside, the action was me being me laying back like a chilled pop star, I did not use makeup as it wasn’t needed in this, my positioning was lying down with the camera above me to show that I’m the same as anyone instead of a low angle as I don’t want to look dominant but instead I wanted to look laid back in this one, the setting was bright and cheery to show me as a relaxed person. This all gives me much more experiences with applying clamps and actually using it in work and this has helped me learn how to take a good picture that attracts a certain audience.

Print Media That Communicates Meaning

On this, I analyzed a poster for an event to pick out all of the key points that I could find on it. I found many important features and connotations of which are used to imply ideas and for effect in posters. This band is very cocky as the show by having black and white to show you know us by our silhouette. This is also implied with the “sensational Main Event” showing how they feel they are incredible and gives off a cocky personality from them to the audience. the wanted poster look conveys to the reader that the band is edgy, this is also implied in the “Be a part of the resistance”, of which also makes the reader feel much more part of something and or a movement if they go. This is very helpful as it will help me work with media promotion and has shown me really how to get the reader’s attention to feed them information without overwhelming them.
