Here, we were told that we were splitting up into groups to produce music videos for the song’ Can’t Stop the Feeling’ by Justin Timberlake. Our group were given the task of making a ‘disco’ genre video, this meant we had to replicate the necessary elements in order to make it as successful as possible. This therefore included things like finding the appropriate costume. Next, we had to annotate the lyrics before we were able to do anything else. We tried to find words to relate to our theme and so, this was really a place where we brainstormed our ideas.

From this, I learnt just how important it is to somewhat relate the video back to the lyrics and therefore the narrative. This perhaps shows that there is some sort of link and so there is some purpose behind it. I also was taught here about the correct conventions for this genre and therefore we were able to replicate the suited ‘repertoire of elements’ in our video.
