In this task we had to record a variety of examples for different shots and camera angles using Vine. We completed this task in groups that we were assigned to.
The shots we used included:
- An aerial shot, this is because it may suggest that someone is in a vulnerable position or in an unsafe environment.
- A long shot, the reason Long shots are used in films is because it gives the audience a chance to see the whole characters body in it’s whole and can also make the character seem dominant or important.
- A low angle shot in one of our vines, Low angle shots usually make someone look powerful and also in total control.
- We then decided to use a Tilt, movies use Tilts because they can introduce a character or place clearly to the viewers.
- My group then used a Close up as it helps illustrate emotion and feelings.
- Lastly we used a Canted angle in a vine, this gives the scene a distorted feel, Canted angles are usually used when something isn’t quite right or tension is in place.
