Shoot 2 Reflection (Narrative)

Reflection: For our second shoot, we experimented with various camera angles, camera framing, camera distances and lighting. We went to different locations to record our shoot, this being the water lanes, St. Martins lanes, and St. Martins church. We first went to the water lanes to film the first scene of the story because we were doing the different scenes in order, in which the first location is where the prostitute offers herself. We then went to some backstreets in St. Martins to film our main character being robbed for the second main scene. Finally, we shot our final scene in the scene where the priest is arrested at St. Martins church.

Targets for improvement:  I think to acquire even better footage, everyone should know how to use every function on the DSLR camera. This way we would be able to manipulate things to our advantage for  example, lighting and depth. I also think we should set a time limit for how long we stay at each location so we have a fair enough of footage from each area, otherwise it could be heavy weighted in specific areas which can make parts of the music video lack in footage.

Conclusion: I believe our shoot went well because of the production meeting agenda planning and contributions from each member of the group to bring what was required for the shoot, which allowed us to work efficiently accumulate high-quality footage with fewer disruptions. This whole experience has us ready for any further shoot/reshoots in the near future.
