Production Meeting for Shoot 2 (Narrative)

To confirm that our shoot operates as efficiently as possible, it is vital that each member is aware of what tasks they should be doing and when they should be there. By creating this document, each person could very well find it easier to find this information with remote access, resulting in a much more beneficial shoot.

Production Meeting for Shoot 2 (Narrative)

By creating this production meeting agenda with all the members able to view it, this will allow people to bring the right equipment that they are responsible for bringing. It also helps to understand where to be, to reduce the chance of error or miscommunication. So what? This also allows the shoot to be more efficient and organised to give us more time during the shoot.

Final pitch to teacher

This pitch was designed by our group, the reason for this is to present what song we’re going to be choosing for our music video. We also discussed different ideas along with typical conventions for example MES for our narrative structure and what we would do for the narrative when filming, we had to consider factors such as who our performer/star image will be, cameraman and the actors. So what? Were also doing this to plan and have our shoot organised so we can use our time efficiently instead of wasting it. This will allow us to have more time in the editing process of our music video.

Positive feedback in our pitch:

  • We have a clear understanding of the story.
  • We are knowledgeable about the genre.
  • Based on the performer’s confidence, we chose our roles.
  • We can all use the MES effectively since we are familiar with it.
  • We already have a great setting for the kind of performance shoot we want to do.

           Negative feedback in our pitch:

  • We need a clearer picture of what our music video will look like.
  • Setting up the story will be challenging.
  • Who will edit still need our decision, though.
  • We speculate that future differences might occur.

Perfect Production Group

This is crucial because it establishes the rules that our group will need to consider if we should we encounter any difficulties. Additionally, because we have all already decided how it would be done, it enables us to expedite the decision-making and production processes.

Star Image – The Performer

Here is my mood board for our star performer, we made this using a site called Canva. This is the mood board that we developed to highlight the traits and ideologies of both our stars and the genre as a whole. This collection of screenshots from the band’s album covers, magazine covers, social media profiles and band-related articles all contribute to the creation of a narrative and about the star image that we can utilise to visualise the characters in our own music video using our cinematography skills. We also need to use mise-en-scene to make sure that each character is appropriately attired for their role which looks conventional.

Final Song Choice

This is our groups final decision on what our song choice will be:

In this post I had to make a decision in a group of 3 people including myself.

Our idea for the narrative is to make a visual representation of the lyrics. In other words we want the lyrics to become the music video. There are 3 main parts in our narrative, one being a women who offers the star performer “a good time”. The second part of the narrative is when a robber appears and puts a gun to the star performers head and demands for money. The last part of the narrative is when a preacher gets arrested for stealing money from a church. Then after each part they all sing the chorus and join in as a band and eventually all unite as one in the end.
