Introduction:
Below is my second draft of my front cover. After being given feedback on how to improve my front cover I think this draft looks a lot better and more professional. In my opinion this draft is so much better than my first draft but there is still things I would like to change in future drafts.
What I changed/added:
- I added to make it so it wasn’t just ‘Chloe Le Page’ but more of a headline. This makes it more of a conventional feature to my front cover.
- I also added the issue date and price as I had forgotten to do this in my first draft but they are both conventional features that are needed in my magazine.
- I changed the size of my barcode to make it smaller as it was too big and doesn’t need to be.
- I added another cover line in too go with the rule of three and so it didn’t seem so empty.
- However I got rid of one of my pugs as I felt like I didn’t need two.
Although I have made changed and additions since my first draft there is still improvement to be made before finalizing my front cover.
What’s next?:
- Could add drop shadow effect to star image
- Make star image bigger
- Change colour of cover lines to make more legible for the reader
- Add banner for headline
