Video Narrative Story/Shot Sheets

Just above is a storyboard that me and my group drew to illustrate the structure of our potential shots for our narrative shoot. They help to understand the framing, composition and variety of shots that we are aiming to capture and cover. We focused on chronology when we drew the storyboard to give an understanding of how the story develops (conflict, disruption, resolution and equilibrium). This storyboard can also benefit us as it gives us direction for when we go and film so we can save time by focusing on these exact clips and shoot them in the best way possible.

For example, the sixth picture details a shot we are trying to shoot. It shows the necklace that has been discarded and we will use depth of field to focus on the necklace as the star walks away in the background. This is our plan as it will show how much of a burden the necklace was and how it dominated the stars feelings and the stars life. It has lost it’s power over the star.
