To create our music video we used the editing software Premiere Pro, which helped us to produce the video we envisaged. Below you can see some of the editing techniques I have edited in post production.
We wanted to create a flicker through different angles to match the flicker in the beat of the song as it approached the chorus, we we got the three shots and were able to razor them, so it would change between the shots continually, creating a disorienting effect.
We also made use of transitions such as the dip to black and cross fades. These were useful help distinguish between the two characters and create a video that was more visually engaging for the audience.
Another very useful tool was the linear wipe, this enabled us to apply a wipe which we could time frame to follow the character running across the screen. We were also able to feather the edges of this wipe in the narrative aspects but have sharp edges in the performance, to promote their different ideologies.
