As a group, Summer, Zoe and I created a padlet ‘look book’ of pictures of different concepts which represent an Indie Folk lifestyle. Creating this mood board was to help inspire us for our eventual digipak and social media page ‘look’. We then annotated each picture we found and explained how each image relates to the Indie Folk community and what each image connotes in relation to the overall mission statement/brand.

Focusing forward, constructing this mood board helped us to understand the Indie Folk communities interests and style. We will now try to construct our digipak as the same repertoire of elements as these collection of pictures entail of. This will help increase the popularity and success of our music video as these elects will appeal to our target audience.

I have now also learnt that the key descriptors of Indie Folk are being laid back, hippie vibe and being down to Earth. Indie Folk hybridises the acoustic guitar melodies of traditional folk music with contemporary instrumentation.
