Introduction:

In this task we went around town and took photos to use for our double page spread, and possible new images for contents pages and front covers. After doing this I made a contact sheet of all the photos I took and then chose 2 photos to reflect on how well they work with my magazine and genre.

Favorite Shots:

I like these images the most out of all the photos I took. There good because the props go well with the colour scheme which is good and I have enough space around my cover stars to write for my double page spread. They all fit in well with my genre because of the features and aspects which include mise-en-scene. The costumes worn by the models worked really well as the theme of yellow is run through, in particular the yellow North Face coat and yellow bandana and goes well with the genre also. The locations I decided on where I think good choices as fitted well with colour scheme and genre of magazine. The different poses of the models also are really good as they show off the props looks effortless.

Conclusion:

In conclusion, I think these images will be very helpful and useful to use in my magazine. I will definitely be using one of these pictures in my double page spread and possibly in my contents page.  This will help add more of a variety of different models and locations. To have the opportunity to be able to have a whole day to go to different locations and take pictures for our magazine was amazing and will be used well. New skills were also learnt as we didn’t have all the same equipment as when we did our first shoot in the studio.
