Draft of Contents Page

Introduction:

A contents page is a menu for what appears in the rest of the magazine with page numbers for articles for regular features. This allows the reader to choose what takes their interest and give them a wider idea of what sort of topics are going to be talked about throughout the magazine.

In this task, I made my first draft of my Contents page for my music magazine which I am creating. I chose a colour scheme that will go with my double page spread and fit in with the the product all together. I feel it went reasonably well but can improve on it in future drafts.

Peer Assessment:

For my peer assessment, Chloe Spruce answered some questions about my first draft of my contents page. Chloe said what she liked about my contents page and what I could improve on in the future.

Targets I have acknowledge are:
  • Add more articles to the page
  • Add quote to fill negative space
  • More text for each page number

Reflection:

I think this task has been very useful as having one of my peers to assess my work will help me to know what to improve on in future drafts from someone in my own age group will help as this will fit in with the view of my target audience of my magazine. With this I can use this feedback and self assessment to improve my contents page the best I can.
