I have chosen the music video Wildfire, which contains different conventional skills. I have decoded it and looked at the skills used. I looked out for camera movement to see if its on a tripod or hand held this is important as you don’t want your shots to be shaky or out of focus. The music video I analyzed was engaging and pleasing however it could have had a few more people in it to create more interest and suspense. By deconstructing the music video I realized a variety of shots where used which represented a narrative and tells a story, the shots chosen contribute to certain situations occurring in the music video and give represent certain feelings. The video has good syncing clips and has a clear narrative of the events happening. The mise en scene is perfect for the genre and theme they were trying to achieve the star imagine is scary and frightening.
When I come to making my own music video I need to consider all these factors which I have learnt by deconstructing previously high marked videos, and successfully interpret them into my own work.
