The genre I am doing for my music magazine is dance, the sub genre is drum and bass. I have chosen this genre because I listen to this type of music regularly and I enjoy listening to it. Artists that fit into this genre are Chase & Status, Andy C and Shy FX. The name of my music magazine will be ‘Rave’

Genre Conventions

The conventions which I will follow for my magazine will suit the genre and therefore attract a certain audience. This being a youthful audience, that likes upbeat and energetic music, typically at raves. I will make sure to appropriate my magazine towards this youthful audience.
