Mise En-Scene To Communicate Meaning

In order to further analyze the music genre Indie, I put together a mood board demonstrating mise en-scene. If you look at my mood board you will find different locations I plan to shoot with and type of mood I would initially like my front cover to look like to represent Indie culture as much as possible…

Made with Padlet
To grasp an understanding of my chosen genre I though of a few adjectives that may represent Indie.
We did initially write down these adjectives on post it notes, However I though it would be easier to directly put my adjectives into the blog instead of taking individual images.
Some Adjectives That I Used To Represent Indie.
-Mainstream
-Hip
-Generic
-Cool
-Different
-Artsy
Photo shoot ImagesĀ
These are the 3 best photos I had out of our mini shoot we had. Here we tried to represent Indie as much as possible without professional equipment.
These are the best quality photos I managed to get as it was my first time using the DSLR equipment.
My Final Image
For my final image, I concluded that this photo would be best to create a tour poster from. This is because I liked how to guitar was included and I like the guitar from the angle it was at. I also enjoy the medium long shot angle as it gives a depth which would compliment the front cover of a magazine or any poster.
Reflect And Focus Forward…
Overall I think that my tour poster would exemplify an Indie aesthetic as my main cover star gives off a mysterious tone, as if he hates everything apart from his music. He would die for his music passion. Now I need to complete my tour poster and be able to represent my genre as much as possible.
