Social Media Page Draft 2

Below is our second draft of our social media page for our artist Maeve. Click on images to access full social media page.

Since our first draft we have added three more posts. After analysing our first draft we came to the conclusion we needed more posts of Maeve showing an ordinary side in order for her audience and fans to be able to relate to her; to achieve this we added a post of Maeve posing with her guitar talking about how she spends her Sunday evening. To build excitement for Maeve’s fans we also added a short gif as a teaser for her upcoming music video ‘killing boys’. Finally we added a post of Maeve on a vogue cover; after analysing our first draft we came to a conclusion we needed more synergy and cross media convergence for our audience. By featuring Maeve on a magazine with an interview included it allows our audience to consume more media of Maeve besides just her new album and music video.

We added stories and highlights to Maeve’s page so that the audience has more media to consume. Highlights are a great way to show fans behind the scenes of the artist, show countdowns to upcoming events or update fans on the artists day to day behaviours. Highlights improve audience engagement with fans being able to contribute in aspects such as a Q&A or polls. One highlight we did which proves successful was our Q&A highlight; this allowed the audience to ask us about upcoming projects and allowed them to know more about Maeve. It helped show us what the audience wanted to see; helping us plan future posts. An example of this was one fan asked about merchandised which we then teased with a highlight post; then for our next posts we knew we needed to post and promote Maeve’s merchandise.

Screen Castify Teacher Feedback:

After listening to our teachers feedback it allowed us to have targets for our next draft. Some of these which are:

  • Reply to fans comments to create a social interaction and show ordinary side.
  • Tease or post a tour promotion to build more excitement for fans.
  • Show Maeve supporting a charity to help show her morals.
  • Promote hard copies of her album.
  • Potentially more cross media convergence – TV interview or radio appearance.
  • Keep the countdown going till music video and album is released.
  • Create a website as a clear call to action to allow fans to see all aspects of the artist; tour, merch, album etc.
