Above is our 3rd draft of our music video to the song ‘Panic Room’ by Au/Ra:

We have made many changes since the second draft, which are the following:

• Looked over the footage at the start of the video as it looked blurry
• Made sure we have every time we have used a filter that it is the same one throughout the video
• We have zoomed in one some shots – for example the bunker and close ups in the underground hospital
• Experimented with the scale and positioning of particular shots
• Removed any dark or grainy clips
• We have edited to the pace of the beat in particular parts of the song
• We have made sure to edit a clip if we have used it more then once – for example flipping a clip horizontally
• Added in a new jump cut sequence

Not only do we have to give our own feedback, but we have to collect five youtube comments from two of our peers:

General feedback from both peers: 

• Very good mise en scene
• Good variety of different shots
• Make the pace of edit quicker during the chorus as they are fast
• The music video is slow – paced for the song currently
• Some shots became a little bit repetitive – experiment with other shots

Below is some feedback given by my dad’s co workers who are interested and experiment with creating music videos using premiere pro. This is very helpful as we are able to gather more feedback, which will allow us to grow as editors and adapt our music video to be even better.

Targets of improvement for our final draft:

• To ensure we are editing to the pace of the beat in some shots
• Check that all of the lip syncing clips are lined up with the song
• Edit Millie to appear more in quicker parts of the song
• Try to have some short fade ins or fade outs to black
• Add a title at the start of the song
• Fade the ending out to black
