Reflection

The study of media ecology allows us to understand the different parts of the media environment, it enables us to associate the different areas together and understand how they are all linked. It creates a link between humans, technology and the media it also explores the impact on people. For example it allows us to understand the relationship between the institutions and governments, it shows us how the governments regulate the media and the impact this has on the institutions approach. Not only this it allows us to be aware of the environment as a whole and see how it changes together for better and for worse.

Questions I find most interesting about media ecology:

  • Should governments control distribution?
  • How do creators get paid?
  • What affect does social media have on its users?
