When deciding in our group our final song choice we decided on ‘Perfect Places’ by Lorde.
We decided to choose this song because:
- It fit the narrative we developed about finding your true self and identity, breaking away from stereotypes and norms. This song allows us to build on the themes and ideas we had initially. We also altered the narrative by adding in a new character which acts as a ‘guardian’ to the main star, and takes him on the journey to finding himself. Which will portray the narrative a lot more clearly.
- It had a clear beat which would make the video easier to edit and synthesise well with the music video.
