This is significant with the current music industry working with a digital distributor is the best option, this is because it gives stability as well as freedom to the artist. However DIY artists have the most pros and the best payoffs however it is extremely hard to be a successful independent artist as you have to stand out and be unique as there is so much competition and similar artists. Signing to a record label can look the most promising however there is small print in many of the contacts which can be vert destructive to the artists as they become in debt to the record label and end up loosing all their own money.
