SPECSAVERS FEEDBACK

During one of our lessons, we had the privilege of having two men from the creative sector of the company Specsavers come in and give us feedback after watching our music videos. This was very enlightening for us a group and we now have new knowledge that will enable us to make our music video even better.

  • Layers– to fully organize the editing of our music video, we now know how to move each clip from a certain shoot onto a separate layer, with a color selected for that shoot and a label.
  • Lumetri color– this tool allowed us to change the effects on selected clips, it will also allow us to copy and paste this effect onto other clips. Which will help us to have a clear difference between our narrative shoot and performance.
  • Curves- adjusting the curves ensured that we could blend our clips with a certain color.
  • Levels– by changing the different colors’ levels, we can now brighten and darken that specific color on the clip.
  • Key frame– by using the key frame, we can now add in work we have done on photoshop, over the top of our clips, in the sector that we want. For example, the vintage cam recorder effect is not on our premiere pro, so we can now draw this onto photoshop and put this over our clip.

TARGETS AFTER FEEDBACK

  • Organization– we would like to create shot lists for every new shoot we do, and include the equipment that will be needed.
  • Connection- use a wider variety of shots which will bring connection to the viewer.
  • Story– create a mini story within the narrative so that it gives a clearer understanding.
  • Contrast– have a filter over either the performance or narrative clip so that their is a clear difference between the two.
