CCR2 – How Does Your Product Engage With Audiences and How Would it be Distributed as a Real Media Text?

When creating any piece of media it is essential to make sure your target audience will be able to engage with the product and relate to it. Below I wrote a script explaining different parts of my music magazine and what conventions were used in order to get full audience engagement.

CCR4 – How Did You Integrate Technologies (software, hardware, and online) in This Project?

When producing any piece of work it is important to reflect on many different things which impacted your work. CCr4 asks how did you integrate technologies in this project. I made a piktochart to show the different software, hardware and online sources I used to produce my music magazine.

CCR3 – How Did Your Production Skills Develop Throughout This Projects

When producing any piece of work it is important to reflect on many different things which impacted your work. CCr3 asks how did your production skills develop throughout this project. I wrote a letter to a future A level media student to show the different skills I learnt and needed to achieve and deliver a successful music magazine.

After writing my letter to a future A level media studies student I made a slideshow to show photographic example of all the transferable, creative and technical skills they will learn. I also added a voice thread going through each slide to make it easily understandable.

Hello Media Studies

By studying media studies at the Sixth Form Center over the next two years I am hoping to learn how to produce media pieces which are of a high level. I believe that my creative skills so far are good however I am hoping to become even more creative and think out the box whenever possible with any task. When taking media I will have to learn how to use Photoshop for many different tasks e.g the music magazine. I have experimented with Photoshop in my art GCSE however by taking media I am hoping to become more advanced.  I also believe that my organisation skills are good however I’m sure over the next two years I can improve them. I’d also like to improve my research and planning skills as in the past I can be quite brief when it comes to research and planning therefore I would like to become more detailed in this.

With my media studies two year course I would like to make media whether that’s magazines, music videos, film etc and be able to confidently use skills to make sure my media provides:

  • Entertainment
  • Social Interaction
  • Information
  • Personal Identity

By using the skills of creativity, organisation, planning and researching and much more I hope that by the time of taking my media a level I can use key skills well and know how to create any piece of media and reach a wide audience and be a successful media prosumer. Also by doing my media course I am hoping to leave with some new skills that will help me in my later life for example social skills and being able to work in a group and co-operate with helpful ideas. I believe this will be achievable as throught my media lessons I will have to work in groups and have clear communication with people e.g when we are making our music video and when I am doing photoshoots.

I am a Media Prosumer

For my media bubble I added different forms of media that provide me with entertainment, social interaction, information and also help me understand my personal identity. I used a wide range of different sources that provide you with media for example magazines, social media, TV shows, films, radio and more. With all of these sources providing me different needs it has helped me realize in order to be a good and successful media prosumer you need to make sure your product provides either entertainment, social interaction, information or personal identity but most importantly all of them to reach a wider audience and become more successful.
