Montage

To prepare for making my music video, I created a montage in a group of four. The montage had the theme of “curiosity killed the cat”. This was to help to learn how to film and edit using Premiere Pro.

We made a storyboard to plan our montage before we started filming. This was to ensure that we had a variety of shots that would convey the themes. We then had to edit the clips together for narrative sense and used filters to give it the right atmosphere.

Some parts of the video worked really well. The music, transitions, and effects were good, as well as some of the ideas for scenes and acting.

To improve, I would add more varied camera angles and distances, as well as more action shots like a cut to close up seeing the phone hitting the wall.

This has helped me as I have learned the basics of editing videos using premiere pro (transitions, audio, filters, etc.), as well as using a DSLR camera to video.
