Reflection:

Following up from the photo shoot done for our music magazine I cut the original one hundred photos taken to just four photos to use for my magazine. I chose these photos because I feel as though the images including the red jumper show the quirkiness and edginess of indie but I also feel as though the pastel blue and pink outfits also represent the Indie pop genre through the costume choice. The body language shown in all of these photos convey a mysterious and confident nature and this is what the genre is about, without confidence the Indie pop genre would not be as exciting and edgy as it is. I think that every one of these images represent the mise-en-scene of the genre as they all connote a calm atmosphere which is displayed in Indie pop music and as the genre is interpreted differently by each artist and each audience member these images give the audience the ability to take what they want from the images. The photos are enticing and interesting but not chaotic which is exactly what I was going for. I am also proud of the lighting in this shoot as her face is well lit, every one is in focus and you can see the image clearly as well as the limited prop use and use of mid and long shots.
