So what am I up against- the competition?
For me to fully comprehend how I should create my magazine and how my choice of Indie Pop could work I made a piktochart to show the competition my genre faces and therefore the competition my magazine would face. I researched other magazines which are Indie and Indie pop and used piktochart to represent the different relevant information.
Through exploring the competition it aides the producers to know what they are up against and to therefore decipher what they can do to make their work attractive, unique and something that their target audience wants to buy. Looking to the competition as we have done it gives you an insight into the type of information, entertainment and contents that you must produce to compete with these other forms of media. Using AIDA can also increase audience attention as the producers can gather audience information on what gathers the attention, interest, desire and how to produce an action model which will attract the audience. Going forward I will use the piktochart that I have created to explore possible colour themes from the other Indie pop magazines I have spent time researching and use the piktochart to give me an insight in what I need to show in my magazine that will set it apart from the rest but how to make sure it also flows with the Indie Pop genre and how it can compete with the competition.
