Shoot 2 Reflection (Narrative)

For our narrative, we conducted to shoots, one in the White Studio at the Guernsey Grammar School tudio and another off site at the German Underground Hospital and both of these shoots highlighted and tested us with a wide variety of different things. Overall I believe that our shoot was a success,  as we were able to capture the energy and story that we wanted to have for narrative. We stuck to our storyboard and focused on what we wanted to film. The storyboard was useful in that it gave us a structuring for the day, meaning that we were able to have a set idea of what we had to have filmed.

However with that being said, some of our shots were slightly blurry which leaves us with less footage to experiment and use in the final product. With that being said, myself and my group have decided that we do not need to re conduct the shoot as the rest of the footage we have is of a good standard. During editing we may have to zoom in on some shots in order to create the extreme close ups required to take our video to a whole other level.

In terms of our location, it raised multiple challenges due to the fact that it was poorly lit throughout the hospital. Yet this did not phase us as we brought lights with us, yet the angling of shots were tricky to do as some brought a shadow with them. Upon reviewing the footage, it appears that some of the shots are a little bit dark or they are also grainy. There are two possible outcomes for this situation which are: To use the effect controls in premiere pro in order to lighten the footage, for example we could use lighting effects and/or lumentri colour effects or we could just not use any of the grainy/dark footage.
