Shot 2 Reflection

In the past week, me and Elliott, filmed out 2nd shoot for our music video. I think the shot was very good as me managed to get a lot of footage with a variety of different angles and shots.

We learnt how to adapt when using the camera in different locations. This was useful as not only did we shoot inside but we also shot outside meaning there are different circumstances when recording. First of all, outside was vey bright and therefore we had to adapt the brightness on the camera before shooting. Also outside ever shot was shot on a tri pod because of the windy conditions.

When we shot inside we could shoot a few shots hand held as we were in a controlled environment. Learning that you have to adapt the way you film due to your conditions and I will take this information with me for any other shoots.

We also followed our plan before the shoot and we attempted to stick to it as much as we can. But we also used some shots that we though of on the spot. I think this is a good thing as not only should you follow a plan but if you see an good shot then by all means shoot it.

The planning documents were followed as much as possible and we found them to be very helpful. The costume matched our plan and our performance ideas were also transferred from a plan to the real thing.
