Music Video – Final Draft

In this blog post lies Elliott and I’s final draft of our music video. This is the fourth variation of our music video and we have reflected on each and every one and we now finally have a video that we are happy with.

In draft 3 we had a few issues that we needed to adjust to have a better video. First of all we added more effects and transitions. Throughout the video process I have been able to understand the importance of editing as it conveys substantial meaning.

We finally found footage suitable to fill in the blank space at the end of the video. We decided to use a flashback at the end of the video. The flashback is represented after the main protagonist commits suicide. This intentionally placed here as it is emotional and sad and the flashback placed where it is the consumer should feel the emotions of the video.

In conclusion:

I am very happy with the final product we and Elliott were able to create. I feel as if we appropriately edited to convey meaning. Our MES was carefully thought out to evoke emotions in the viewer, and we used a wide variety of camera shots and angles. These shots were carefully selected and I feel as if they have been executed well.

From the creation of the first draft, to now I feel like we carefully followed our plan and intern we have made a good quality music video.
