Our next task for preparing ourselves for the production of our digipak is to analyse an already made famous digipak, one of an artist similar to ours. I chose to do SIA’s album ‘This is Acting’ as she is of similar genre to our artist Lorde and I knew that her album was very bold and clever and unconventional.

We had to label each part of the album front and back, this proves we know what to look out for when we create our own digipak and to gather a proper understanding of the conventions.

This album is very alternative, and uses quirky fonts which represents SIA as an alternative, not mainstream artist and likes to play with the look of her albums. By looking at the front cover we can tell it is clearly a SIA album by her famous half black half white hair. This represents SIA as always keeping her statement look as part of her album cover but switching it up and making it quirky and different each time.
