Test Shoot

This was a very short test shoot to trial what we were going to do when shooting officially.

The narrative is important to engage the audience; narrative gives the audience content to associate with the genre of the video and star images being portrayed to provide the audience with some uses and gratification which Blumler and Katz’ theory suggests as the 4 reasons for media consumption. By using media language and narrative codes, we can reinforce the star image. This is crucial as the aim of a music video is to get people to relate to the stars in the video. This is made easier for the audience when the star image is as clear as possible and the type of person displayed is easily relatable to the audience.
