The Look Book

Here is the look book for my brand, using social media as inspiration I have gathered a bunch of color swatches, photos, fashion and art that I feel like relates to my band and the genre they perform. One could view the look book as a blueprint to my brand as it has all the bases elements that make up the brand. Using this can be good as the audience will sees that the band emobodies all of this.

I have made this look-book/mood board to provide me a blueprint for my band, using this in the future helps me when it comes to future photo shoots and when it comes to making my social media page.

Our Mission Statement – The Package Brand

Here are my Marketing strategies and Mission statement post, this post can be viewed as a plan or a guideline for my brand, this post/work is meant to help create an integrated advertising campaign, it’s essential that all my media platforms are coherent. If my music video has a different feel than the social media page then it just doesn’t work.

During this post, I wrote about the audience and who they are to narrow down who would be looking at my artists and how I want them to interact with each other. Also, the competition that my band would be up against, Finally the USP (Unique Selling Point) the facts and points that would make my band stand out amongst the rest.

Reflection :

I feel like there could have been a bit more writing as well as going into a bit more detail and using more key words.

Music Video Draft 4

Here is my draft 4 for the music video, this will be the last draft before the final version so draft 4 right now is at its best. All the footage has been put in and everything is lip-synced well. Reflection :

There needs to be more of the special effects I had like the heart, so if I could include more effects like that in the final draft I feel like they would fit in much better. I also think that I just need a few more small shots here and there.

Screen Castify

Here is the screen-castify of my media teacher feedback to my Draft 3 of the music video, My teacher makes many good points to improve on and other ways to make my draft 4 the best it could be. Overall most of the points are minor improvements that I could make while editing but some of them would need entire reshoots of some scenes. but it could be done, but only if the weather is favorable

Feedback :

  • Make boxes even or make them look good while uneven
  • More shots to space out when the song doesn’t sing(closes ups)
  • Re-shoot blurry shots
  • More heart graphics
  • More cuts between narrative
  • Maybe more shots of the guitarist and singer together

Music Video Draft 3

Here is my Draft 3 for my music video, in this version the whole narrative has been put in and has been put in some form of order but it can still be rearranged and made to fit the music more. So for draft 4, I need to go through and adjust all of the of the footage as well as add in the rest of the effects and such, so hopefully everything should be in order for draft 3.

Shoot 2 Reflection

Where did you go? How did it go?

I went back to my house in St Martins and filmed in my kitchen and back garden, it went well, I was able to get my family to help me with some of the shoots like using my sister as a stand-in for the ghost.

Reflect – what went well? what went badly?

I got all the shots that I wanted at that moment and I was able to fill up a lot of space in my music video, but sadly not all the footage looked the best, it got dark very quickly and I had to shoot at that time so some of the footage has a bit of a blur or a grain effect over the top, or it’s just not focused properly

Focus forward – do you need to pick up shots? how does this help represent your star image?

I think that I could get a few replacement shots and make some improvements,  for example, the scene of the ghost poking over the fence should be shot from a different angle, in better lighting, and using a tripod, and maybe a different lens

Music Video Draft 2

Below is the second draft of my music video, in this draft I still have empty space but I have included some narrative shots like me in the kitchen, opening up the fridge and the bread box. below here is my “self-assessment sheet” I rewatched the video and marked myself on how I thought I did, there are definitely parts that need improvements, for example my transitions are basically non-existent and I kept forgetting to bring the tripod with me to shoots so some shots are wobbly and shakey.

For my next draft (draft 3) i should have enough footage to fill in the whole video and I can start working on making the singers sync and the narrative footage sync with the beat of the song
