REFLECTION:

Above I have displayed my contact sheets from my third shoot, I used boys to model in this shoot to add some differentiation to my magazine as everyone so far has been a female. I created an EDM appropriate Mise En Scene with the neon gel camera covers, disco lights, disco balls and casual clothing on a dark background. This was successful. I took photos in different locations, using props to my advantage, I found some sound DJ decks and got my model to pose with this as well as other things like the disco ball. I directed my model to stand in different positions to create the exact image I had in my vision, this worked very well. I used the DSLR camera well apart from there were some mishaps with the flash connecting, this didn’t effect the photoshoot too much luckily. Most if not all of my images were clear.

MY 5 FAVOURITE PHOTOS:

These are my favourite photos because I think they convey the EDM club scene most accurately. There are a range of colours used in backgrounds as well as props (disco ball, sunglasses, hat, DJ decks) that embellish the photos effectively and raise the standard. I can use these photos for both my sequin themed magazine and my neon themed magazine meaning they are versatile.
