Planning:

As part of the process of creating our digipak we created a rough draft of our ideas of the digipak before we actually started shooting. The electronic genre is fairly different compared to more mainstream genres such as pop or rock in regards to album artwork. There are a plethora of electronic albums which have artwork that does not actually include any conventional photos. The ideas presented in our plan for our digipak mainly consists of images that would be generated artificially in Adobe Photoshop. So for our actual digipak, we would actually need to take photographs for 1 out of the 5 main segments.

Overview:

I felt this planning document was worthwhile as it kept us on track when we were producing the digipak. The planning document was also useful as it inspired us with other similar ideas that we will incorporate into our final digipak. I believe that we have a strong initial design idea, the overall aim for our group is to produce a lively and attractive digipak. One aspect that was challenging as a group was deciding on how the titles should be positioned on the front cover, we eventually agreed to have the name of the album in the top left and the name of our group in the bottom right.
